And I'm pretty sure I can talk dog.

I've had dogs all my life, and I honestly cannot imagine a home without muddy paws, wagging tails, and a furry friend waiting to greet me at the door.

For me, dogs are not just pets. They're family!

They're the ones who make us laugh when we've had a bad day, keep us company when life gets tough, and somehow always know when we need a cuddle.

Like many dog owners, my phone is full of photographs. Thousands of them. Some are perfect. Most are not. But every single one tells a story.

That is why I started Scruffy Pawtraits. I wanted to create a fun, colourful photography experience that celebrates dogs exactly as they are. The playful ones, the cheeky ones, the nervous ones, the older dogs with grey muzzles, and the puppies who never sit still for more than three seconds. Because those little quirks are what make them special.

My home studio in Bristol, BS16 1JF near Snuff Mills, is designed to be relaxed and welcoming. There is no pressure for your dog to be perfectly behaved. We work at their pace, with plenty of patience, treats, and encouragement along the way.

My goal is simple. To create photographs that make you smile every time you see them.

The photographs you treasure most are rarely the perfect ones. They're the ones that remind you of who your dog really is. Every head tilt. Every goofy grin. Every muddy adventure. Every paw has a story. I'd love to help tell yours.
