Scruffy Pawtraits Photography Agreement

Thank you for choosing Scruffy Pawtraits. My aim is to create a fun, relaxed experience while capturing beautiful portraits of your dog. Please take a few moments to read these terms before completing your booking.

1. Booking

Your session is confirmed once your booking fee has been paid and this agreement has been accepted. The booking fee is non refundable and reserves your chosen date and time. Any remaining balance is due before or on the day of your session, depending on your chosen package.

2. Rescheduling and Cancellation

If you need to change your session date, please give at least 48 hours notice where possible. One complimentary reschedule may be offered at the photographer's discretion. If you cancel your booking, the booking fee will not be refunded. If Scruffy Pawtraits needs to cancel due to illness, emergency, equipment failure or circumstances beyond reasonable control, you will be offered a new session date or a full refund of any monies paid.

3. Your Dog's Welfare

Your dog's comfort and safety always come first. Please let me know before your session if your dog has any medical conditions, behavioural concerns, fears, or reactivity towards people or other dogs. You remain responsible for your dog throughout the session. If I believe your dog is becoming distressed, uncomfortable or unsafe, I may pause or end the session. No photograph is worth causing unnecessary stress.

4. During the Session

Please arrive on time so we can make the most of your session. Bring plenty of your dog's favourite treats, toys or anything that helps keep their attention. Every dog is different. While I will always work patiently to capture beautiful images, I cannot guarantee specific poses, expressions or behaviours.

5. Editing

All images are individually selected and professionally edited in the Scruffy Pawtraits style. Raw or unedited images are not supplied. Proof galleries are usually available within one week unless otherwise advised.

6. Choosing Your Images

Your photographs will be presented in a private online gallery. Your package includes the number of digital images stated at the time of booking. Additional images, prints, merchandise and wall art may be purchased separately.

7. Copyright and Image Licence

Scruffy Pawtraits retains full copyright of all photographs. Purchased digital images include a licence for personal use only. Images may be shared online provided they are not edited, filtered or altered in any way and appropriate credit is given where possible. Images may not be used commercially or entered into competitions without written permission.

8. Marketing Permission

I love sharing the wonderful dogs I photograph. Unless you choose to opt out before your session, you give permission for Scruffy Pawtraits to use selected images for the website, social media, advertising, printed marketing materials, competitions and portfolio purposes. If you would prefer your images to remain private, simply let me know before your session.

9. Liability

While every reasonable care is taken throughout the session, Scruffy Pawtraits cannot accept responsibility for injury, illness, loss or damage involving pets, owners or personal property unless caused by proven negligence. You remain responsible for your dog's behaviour throughout the session.

10. Prints and Products

Prints, merchandise and wall art are produced by professional laboratories. Minor colour differences between your screen and finished products may occur due to monitor calibration and professional printing processes. Damaged or faulty products will be replaced where appropriate.

11. Data Protection

Your personal information will only be used to manage your booking, communicate with you and fulfil your order. Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to provide photography products or services.

12. Acceptance

By accepting this agreement and completing your booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions. Thank you for choosing Scruffy Pawtraits. I cannot wait to meet you and your four legged best friend.
